Spotlight on Bill Negron: Preparing Leaders for Tomorrow’s Texas
As part of School Board Recognition Month, Troy ISD proudly highlights the contributions of Bill Negron, a dedicated member of the Board of Trustees, whose insights resonate with this year’s theme, "Leadership for Tomorrow’s Texas."
What do you believe are the most critical skills or qualities students need to lead in tomorrow’s Texas? How can schools foster these?
Students need adaptability, critical thinking, and strong communication skills to lead in tomorrow’s Texas. Troy ISD fosters these qualities not only through traditional academics but also through its wide range of extracurricular opportunities.
I encourage all students to discover their passion and pursue it wholeheartedly—whether it’s a UIL athletic or academic competition, band, music, art, FFA, trades, a school club, dual credit courses, or any of the many programs Troy ISD offers. These activities not only bring joy and fulfillment but also help develop the essential skills needed for future success.
We thank Bill Negron for his dedication and his efforts to empower our students to thrive and lead in a dynamic future.
