Troy ISD Tax Rate Decreases, District Receives Superior Financial Rating

Posted Date: 11/11/2022

As Troy ISD residents open their 2022 tax statements, they will notice a decrease in the tax rate levied by the district. In each of the past three years, the Troy ISD Board of Trustees has lowered the district’s tax rate. Also, the Homestead Exemption increased from $25,000 to $40,000, providing additional relief. “The district works diligently to remain good stewards of taxpayers’ dollars. Even as enrollment continues to increase, we were pleased the Board of Trustees chose to lower the tax rate for residents again this year,” said Neil Jeter, Superintendent of Schools. “We again achieved an A (Superior) on the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) report for 2022. We are committed to putting your tax dollars to good use,” he said.
