November School Board Recognitions

Posted Date: 11/18/2021

The Troy ISD Board of Trustees is proud to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of district students and staff members. For the month of November, the Board approved a resolution congratulating the following students, including a certificate for each student:

  • Two Troy High School students qualified for the 3A State Cross Country meet on November 5, 2021, in Round Rock.  Shown in the photo below and left, sophomore Josie Peters placed 60th out of 151 runners, and sophomore Carlos Monroy Cortez placed 53rd out of 151 runners.  Congratulations on an excellent performance.

  • The Troy High School Band qualified for the State UIL Marching Band Contest in San Antonio and performed their 2021 show “Manhunt” on November 3, 2021.  The Troy High School Band placed 14th at state, meaning the THS Band is the 14th best band of all 3A high schools in Texas. Congratulations! Representatives from the THS Band are pictured below, along with THS Director of Bands, Mr. Rustin Honeycutt.
