Troy ISD Responds to Bell County Shelter in Place Order

Posted Date: 03/23/2020

On Monday afternoon March 23, 2020, Bell County Judge David Blackburn issued a shelter in place order for all residents of the county. The order requires certain non-essential businesses to close and prohibits gatherings of 10 or more people. However, schools are considered essential government functions, and while Troy ISD campuses are closed to students, remote learning will continue as planned. Further, meals will continue to be prepared for distribution at Troy Elementary school. Parents are allowed to leave their homes for the purpose of securing instructional assignments and meals. Troy ISD remains committed to educating the students of our community, even during this public health emergency. Click here to see the full text of Judge Blackburn’s shelter in place order.
