With over 25 years of law enforcement experience, Troy ISD welcomes Chad Tarvestad as our School Resource Officer (SRO). 
Officer Tarvestad began his career in the Temple Police Department back in 1997. He served as a patrol officer, patrol supervisor, in the criminal investigations division, and as a Community Oriented Policing Service (COPS) officer. Officer Tarvestad has also served the Bell County region, in the patrol division, as a shift supervisor, and in the Crisis Response Division (CRD). “I am pleased to serve the students and families of the Troy ISD community. I take great pleasure in being your first School Resource Officer. I look forward to working with the students, staff and parents of Troy ISD.”
